Minister Creecy amends protocols for specialist assessment and minimum report content for animal and plant species

On 28 July 2023, the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment amended the protocols in respect of specialist assessment and minimum report content requirements for environmental impacts on terrestrial animal and terrestrial plant species.
In the amendment, Minister Creecy removed the reference to “terrestrial” where it occurred in the protocols thereby allowing them to apply to all animal and plant species (no longer just terrestrial species). Other minor adjustments were also made.
