Invitation to comment: updated draft National Waste Management Strategy

The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries has published an updated draft National Waste Management Strategy ( see Part 1 and Part 2) for comment within 60 days – i.e. before 3 February 2020.

The Strategy was originally published in 2011 and the National Environmental Management: Waste Act requires it to be reviewed every 5 years. The purpose of the strategy is to achieve the objects of NEM:WA which are contained in section 2 of the Act.
