28 November 2019
The Water and Sanitation Master Plan, developed by the Department of Water and Sanitation, is described as “a plan intended to guide the water sector with investment planning for the development of water resources and the delivery of water and sanitation services over the horizon until 2030, and beyond”. It also identifies key actions in the water sector and allocates roles and responsibilities to all in the water sector, from the various tiers of government, the private sector and other stakeholders for the implementation of the plan.
The Master Plan is composed of three volumes:
- Volume 1: Call to Action (a summary document highlighting only the key challenges and the key actions required for their resolution)
- Volume 2: Plan to Action (full National Water and Sanitation Master Plan Document)
- Volume 3: Schedule of ActionsÂ
More information on the Water and Sanitation Master Plan is available on the Department of Water and Sanitation’s website.
