Christine Reddell

Christine Reddell


Christine is an attorney in the Corporate Accountability and Transparency Programme. The CER’s corporate accountability work is pioneering new methods to improve transparency and accountability around the detrimental impacts of polluting corporates on our environment and people, including through analysis of company disclosures, criminal prosecution and shareholder activism. Christine is an admitted attorney and holds a BA, LLB and LLM (Marine and Environmental Law) from the University of Cape Town, where she graduated with distinction. Before joining the CER in 2015, Christine practiced at both dedicated marine, and environmental, law firms.

Everyone has the right to an environment that is not harmful to their health or well-being; and to have the environment protected, for the benefit of present and future generations, through reasonable legislative and other measures that prevent pollution and ecological degradation; promote conservation; and secure ecologically sustainable development and use of natural resources while promoting justifiable economic and social development.
