Christine joined the Centre as an attorney in May 2015 as part of the Corporate Accountability & Transparency Programme. She holds a BA, LLB and LLM (Marine and Environmental Law) from the University of Cape Town. While undertaking her LLM in 2011, Christine interned at the Centre. She then went on to complete her articles of clerkship, was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2014 and practised at a dedicated environmental law firm. Drawn to public interest law, Christine is happy to be back at the Centre and feels privileged to contribute to the realisation of environmental rights in South Africa. She loves to mountain bike on the weekends, exploring the Western Cape’s beautiful scenic trails – which is a big change from her days as an avid ice skater!
