NEMA Section 24H Registration Authority Regulations (the “EAPASA Regulations”)

On 31 December 2021, the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries published her intention to amend the Section 24H Registration Authority Regulations. These Regulations provide for the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) as the authority responsible for the registration and regulation of environmental assessment practitioners.

CER’s Corporate Accountability and Transparency programme submitted comments on the proposed changes on 28 January 2022.
