The Centre for Environmental Rights is advertising two new positions, starting as soon as possible. Both positions are based in Cape Town, and the closing date for applications is 31 January 2014:
- Attorney: a new position for an attorney at the CER, working in our Environmental Rights, Mining and Water programmes. The ideal candidate is an environmental lawyer and admitted attorney with a passion for social and environmental justice, accountability and compliance, and empowerment of communities affected by activities that violate their environmental rights.
- Researcher: a new position for a researcher at the CER, working across all our programmes, but with a specific focus on supporting our work on the promotion of transparency, accountability and environmental justice in the business sector through innovative legal and other research. The ideal candidate has an LLB with experience in both corporate and public law research, financial market research and a passion for social and environmental justice. This position was initially advertised in November 2013.
