Looking for a change? Three new positions available at the Centre for Environmental Rights in 2014

A job that can change the worldThe Centre for Environmental Rights has just advertised three new positions, starting in January 2014. All three positions are based in Cape Town, and closing dates are 25 November 2013:

  1. An Attorney, to lead our work on the promotion of transparency, accountability and environmental justice in the business sector, aimed at compelling greater disclosure of and accountability for environmental impacts by the business sector through both incentives and enforcement. The ideal candidate is an environmental lawyer with several years’ experience in the corporate sector, now seeking to contribute to social and environmental justice in South Africa.
  2. A Researcher, to support our work on the promotion of transparency, accountability and environmental justice in the business sector through innovative legal and other research. The ideal candidate has an LLB with research experience in both corporate and public law, and a passion for social and environmental justice.
  3. A Programme Support Officer/Paralegal, to provide paralegal and administrative support for our work programmes. The ideal candidate has a legal or paralegal qualification, is proficient in document management (including in legal proceedings), has experience in event management and is a superb organiser.
