19 October 2020 at 9:47 am
You are invited to the launch of the Asina Loyiko Website! Please join us for the launch and webinar featuring local and international experts and a keynote address by local hero and activist, Nonhle Mbuthuma of the Amadiba Crisis Committee.
RESISTING CORPORATE BULLYING AND INTIMIDATION
Around the world, human rights activists are subjected to immense physical and judicial harassment. Their important work in protecting human rights and the environment, all in the public interest, is met with reprisal and attacks on their person, property and basic rights, most often by corporate actors. In support of the anti-SLAPP campaign, Asina Loyiko, and as part of the launch of the campaign website, local and international experts will share their views on SLAPPs and corporate bullying. At a time when meaningful strategic partnerships to resist corporate intimidation is more important than ever before, this discussion aims to empower civil society actors, provide strategic insights and help build a global alliance of resistance.
