CER wins SAHRC’s 2012 Golden Key Award for Best User of PAIA

The Centre for Environmental Rights has been honoured with the South African Human Rights Commission’s Golden Key Award for Best User of the Promotion of Access to Information Act for 2012.
The Golden Key Awards are aimed at rewarding best practice, stimulating competition, recognising best performing Deputy Information Officers and also acknowledging the work of civil society that have helped to develop and shape the access to information landscape in pursuit of an open civil society.
The SAHRC described the CER’s work using PAIA to address public interest issues in the environmental sector as “commendable”.
