Since joining the Centre as Attorney in October 2011, Robyn has been responsible for its collaborative Pollution & Climate Change programme (with partners groundWork, the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance, the Vaal Environmental Justice Alliance and Earthlife Africa Johannesburg), which is focused on promoting environmental justice and strengthening civil society participation in decisions on industrial pollution, waste and land use. Before moving to the Cape, Robyn worked for 7 years at Bowman Gilfillan in Sandton, specialising in employment and public law. She holds a BA LLB from Stellenbosch University, and has completed her LLM in Environmental Law through the University of Cape Town. She is proud of the work the Centre does to advance environmental justice. The African Bushveld is her favourite place.
