Amendments to the Weather Service Act are proposed by means of the South African Weather Service Amendment Bill, 2011.
On 12 January 2012, the Centre made submissions to Parliament on the Weather Service Amendment Bill on behalf of groundWork, the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance and the Vaal Environmental Justice Alliance. Public hearings in Parliament are scheduled for 24 and 25 January 2012.
